In blue, red and black. N450 processor (pine trail), 1GB RAM 250 GB hard drive

Most noticeable differences, n-wireless, battery is flush, no obvious way to get at the RAM, new trackpad with integrated buttons. Hopefully not as bad as the dell 11z

    Edit-typo should be 210

thanks for the info. i personally think netbooks are a waste of $ and the specs you posted strengthen my feelings against them. this is a newer model and it has no significant hardware upgrades than the 1st gen ones................

I think they have their place. I would not want one as my primary PC but as someone who travels quite a bit they can be very good companions

It looks like at least some of the manufactures are starting to focus on the features that separate them from standard notebooks and would make them more viable travel companions. (6-8 hour battery life is great when you regularly fly cross country)

Better battery life, more usable keyboard and trackpad, good connectivity and decent video playback (3d graphics performance is not a big deal in a netbook IMHO)

This new HP and the pine trails seem to be moving in the right direction (though the trackpad on the 211 is a step back).

If they made the broadcom mpeg card with 1368x768 resolution and bluetooth standard and kept it under $500, sign me up
