Something's strange with this unit, I think it's an overheating problem as right under the fan [which is working] it is getting very hot in only a few minutes, other problem is I get a blank screen after the welcome screen on power up and can't go any further when the unit is hot, when the unit is cold then I can go into the bios or to the password screen so my guess is when the unit heats up it hampering the video maybe? Also strange, the unit will not shut shut down in the normal way this last time, I then held down the power button for a full minute and it would not shut down, it only powered off when I pulled out the AC cord?

download hwmonitor, post your hot temps on the cpu and gpu, it shows current, low and high temps

also do you have several things loading at startup?

I can't get to windows because my guess is the unit heats up by the time it gets to that point and that's when I get the blank screen
