I brought this nb and it comes with windows vista home premium. [lol]
When tried to use hp recovery manager to make the recovery discs the program says that i don't have any cd/dvd burner. I speaked with hp customer care and tried all procediments. Nothing has changed. I decided to format principal partition and keep d:\hp_recovery partition.
i instaled win vista ultimate. Can't use hp recovery...

I'm looking to get all the drivers. Can anyone help me?
My nb has in the lid writed Hp Pavilion dv2000 and has a tag with product name: Hp pavilion dv2500 and above has writed dv2845se...

Now i can't get all drivers...

    the notebook is:
    -Processor: Amd turion 64 X2 TL-62 [2.1ghz]
    -Video: nvidia nforce 630i/7150M [ok]
-Audio: Conexant high def audio 221 [ok]
    -Wireless internet controler [ok]
-RICOH 5-in-1 card reader host controler [ok]

    -Ethernet controler RJ-45 [ missing]
    -modem Rj-11[i don't know] [ missing]
-monitor [has a driver?] the windows only recognizes a generic monitor, and i can't change screen refresh rate...

i need help to get these drivers.

If anybody has the SAME problem with this NB too, look drivers&support in hp.com for the HP Pavilion:

Your laptop is a dv2845. Setup the wireless or ethernet card first. Download these drivers from the hp support site from another computer. Once setup, download the rest of the drivers from the HP support website.

I just bought the DV2700t and was having the same issues with the recovery manager and lost 4dvd-ml discs. Called HP they couldnt help me so I decided to return the laptop. Then I decided to give HP another try and told them to send me a new system and reimburse me for the discs. So now I am waiting for the new laptop to come. I would suggest send the noteback and ask for a new exchange.

I'm from Brazil. I can't go in us only to change my notebook. Hp Brasil said to me that i have to talk with hp us.

If you can to help me, give me your address, for me to speak with hp us to send the recovery discs to you and you to send for me...

Have you spoke with a tech rep via chat?

I had a issue with my battery charger, the thing was this: my Sister bought the laptop in the USA while she was living there, and when I started to use it (I wasn't used to laptops) so my battery charger got really hot when it was charging the battery, I spoke with a tech rep (HP tech support headquarters are in India tho) and I told them my situation, they sent to a friend's address the replacement part.

So, maybe you could try to get your recovery disks that way. Do you have a contact person in the US or a friend?

Very simple... and how do you think i got all the other drivers ? The problem is: when you go in hp.com and look for all drivers for win. vista for this nb [dv2845se] you can't get then because in this page they don't exist. Only for bluetooth, wireless and modem smartCP. I have the wireless, but need the driver for ethernet.

I'm trying another thing. The version of the driver can be the problem for this. I'm downloading all drivers and version again of all nb's that i think it has the real driver.

Just a thought, but have you tried extracting any of those chipset drivers to a folder, and then manually pointing Vista to it thru device manager?
