So moved from Dell XPS 15 to Hp Pavillion DV6tQe and iam all set to buy the DV6 model

but after reading alot here about AMD graphics switchable issues iam hesitant to buy Dv6 61XX . SO right now i have the Option to buy Dv6-60XX OR 61XX With the same SPECS

    Specs are
    Core i7 2630Qm
    8gig ram
    640Gb hDD
    6770m 1Gb
    DVDRW drive

Btw models are 6011TX and 6107TX and t hey both have the Same specs
    and also the same Price

I know as 61XX series is newer but have issues of Switchable graphics
where as 60XX series have manual switching which will be better for me other than those i dont Know what else differences these two have

so plz guys suggest if i buy the 60XX series what disadvantage i may be having over 61XX right Now as the switchable thing by amd is not fixed yet ? or In future when AMD will Fix the issues

Do you even use any programs which makes the switchable graphics issue an issue? These would be something like Adobe Photoshop CS5 (but not Elements), or an OpenGL game (most of these would be somewhat older, but there are exceptions like Minecraft). If you mostly play newer games like Starcraft or the like, these are all DirectX anyway and have no switching issue.

If you don't play anything OpenGL or use a more pro level Adobe CS suite product, for the most part the issue is a non-issue and won't really affect you. Let's not make a mountain out of a mole hill here. In theory, drivers can fix this issue, just as Nvidia has made improvements to Optimus in the past year.

Does the 6107tx model you are looking at have the new 1080p matte LCD? In my view, that would be worth getting the 61xx over the 60xx.
