    Shut down and can not get it to power up,appears to be dead.

    Ouch, hopefully it either just overheated in which case it should start back soon, or hopefully it is still under warranty and you can send it back to HP

    Hmm, that stinks. The Pentium 4 is not good for laptops, way too much heat. I've heard of at least 20 people whose ZD7000's have just shut down and some would not
    start back up, their components were fried. I hope yours can start back up soon. If you have to get another laptop, don't get one with the Pentium 4 processor.
