    AMD TURION PROCESSOR

    32MB OPERATING SYSTEM

    Hi,

I need some help! I had to re-install my operating system due to sysstem becoming very laggy. Anyways, i moved my favourites folder, some pics and other files to the D drive, where the system recovery files are.

I then went ahead and did the system recovery which sorted the c drive out, and went to d drive and they werent there, but it looks like they might be with file size remaining. I have done the folder options which is view hidden files etc, but still nothing. With the re install might windows moved them somewhere else. I tried doing searches on files names on all drives but nothing. Please help.

More often than not, the recovery overwrites the whole hard drive. Did you use the recovery discs.

no the f11 solution i used which does it automatically.

    UPDATE: PROBLEM SOLVED

No help from h.p, i talked to a representative online from the hp site and they told me that when i do a full recovery it overwrites both partitions, this being c and d. BUT i wasnt convinced as like i say the space was still took up. So i had a idea they was still there SOMEWHERE.

After further research, i got hold of a program called Handy Recovery 3.0, and what do we know whey found them on on D:\recycle bin. And was able to restore them easily.

Can anyone shed light on this, i didnt think there was a recycle bin on D - recovery drive?

Also i restored them now, back onto my normal c drive in my documents, how to i get rid of them of the d partition where i found them, so i can reclaim the space took up.

    Cheers In Advance
