Ok, I will be purchasing RAM for my dv9500t in the next couple of days. I posted on the RAM deals thread and got some great responses. My question is:

I know that some laptops won't work with certain RAM manufacturers. Has any noticed it HP Laptops or HP in general has any problems with G.SKILL, Transcend, or OCZ? I just don't want to get stuck buying RAM and its not compatible with HP computers and have to send it back and pay shipping out of my own pocket.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Transcend is working absolutely perfect on my 9500. 2GB + 2GB.

I haven't heard of any problems with compatibility. Generally, any RAM from any manufacturer should work with the notebook. However, its better to go with reputable brands, such as Corsair, Crucial, OCZ, G. Skill, if the price difference between the cheaper modules isn't too big.

I know that theoretically it doesn't matter who manufacturers the RAM, but I've heard some stories about people ordering RAM for their laptops and certain manufacturers don't work (and this isn't because the RAM was bad).

I just wanted to check and make sure before I go ahead and purchase the RAM.

    Thanks!

I also use Transcend and it's great. Newegg is cheaper than the Transcend web site. ;)

I always buy the cheapest RAM. I've never had a problem.
