    I've just received my laptop (dv2530ea) from repair and they'd replaced the motherboard.
    I'm just wondering is there have any chance that the remote control has been damage?
    please if anyone can help me cause the remote sometimes works and sometimes not, and if you want to use it you should restart the laptop and it might work.
    so if there anyone knows what seems to be the problem I'll appreciate it.

    Have you tried changing the remotes battery?

    The heat from the proccessor overtime when its inserted in the slot can cause the battery to act funny
