Strongly considering the purchase of the Spectre x360 15" model and would like comments from current owners on their experiences. Specifically battery usage, battery drainage etc, what you like, what you don't, and any issues worth relating, what you love what you hate, and would you do it all over again? Thanks

I have one. The battery life is pretty good. I mainly use it when I commute from school and back. Without using the Wi-Fi, I can easily get ~7.5 hrs with screen at maximum brightness doing word documents, listening to music, etc.

The keyboard is a joy to type on. This is coming from someone who have use keyboards from the following laptops before: AW 13, 15, Razer Blade 14, XPS 15, etc.

I have never really do anything intensive with it such as playing games so I cannot comment on the heat.

The most intensive thing I have put it through probably is watching a video with 32 Tabs open and two VM's running in the background.

I would buy it again. I mean where else are you going to get a slim attractive aluminum built, a Quad-Core ULV processor w/ a GT 1030 and a 4k screen that you can just leave at 100% on the train.

Screen is glossy and supports touch though but I like glossy and I use touch a lot

I just ordered one. I'm coming from an original Surface Book (i5 256GB).

It's almost 2 years old now and I just couldn't justify the high price of the Surface Book 2 and the latest Spectre X360 seems like a good alternative. It's great to hear that the typing experience is good because that's important to me and the SB has a great typing experience too. I'll miss the 3:2 aspect ratio on the SB though but am looking forward to getting this convertible with an 8th gen quad core processor and better dGPU.

I got the new Spectre X360 15" but had to return it for a replacement because the wifi kept cutting in and out and had to reset every 10min. Does anyone have any wifi issues with their Spectre X360 15"? Hopefully my replacement won't have the issue.

I have the new 8th gen but don't have any WiFi issues (yet). I use it with my eGPU and for that it works well. I have a few minor problems, but I don't see myself returning it for them.

    good:
    - looks brilliant
    - performance is great. keyboard is nice
    - easily get 6-7 hours on battery
    - eGPU works plug and play and can charge, albeit slowly, from the thunderbolt cable (60W)

    bad:
    - when lying flat on a table the machine wobbles - apparently it's a common issue
    - get a weird buzzing noise from the speaker when i use my wireless mouse - apparently its an interference issue
