    Hopefully this notebook will come out soon, since the zd8000 is 7 months old already. What do you think the specs will be for this notebook?

    don't hold your breath, the zd7000 was out for a couple of years, HP won't replace the zd8000 for some time.

    If it does come out anytime soon, it probably won't be until Intel releases the dual core Pentium M chips.

    Either way, there'll probably be at least a couple differences in the upcoming, much-anticipated, zd8k AMD release.

    Well since HP is going to keep this notebook for so long.. do you think they will at least upgrade it with a better video card? Or are they going to keep the x600 for the rest of the HP ZD8000s lifetime?

    They might offer the x700 or x800, but I seriously doubt that they'll put the next generation of graphics cards in the zd8000. In the zd7000, they originally had the GeForce FX 5600 --> 5650 --> then finally to 5700.
