my current hp dv6 1tb hdd (Toshiba MK1059gsm) has continuous increase number of reallocated bad sectors (current 256 reallocated bad sectors) .
until now there is no apparent problem.
I'm considering replacing this drive with new 1tb hdd and clone entire hdd, but where I live the only available 1tb hdd is WD10TPVT (which is 5200 rpm).
I didn't find any detailed online review about this drive. Does it have the same or lower performance than Toshiba hdd??

    any other suggestion.
    thanks

I don't think clonning the old hdd it's good option. I would recommend to backup the important data and install a fresh copy of you OS.
