    Hp dv6-2106ea gets too hot

    Hi guys,
    I don't know why my 11months old hp dv6-2106ea gets to hot on the bottom left top side. i even don't play games. just got a 3d screen saver. once it get started fan runs crazy and as the design is weird the air flow can't come out properly. guys can some one advice me how to keep the temp COOL. and do u have any step by step guide to reach to the fan to brush it up. i have tried youtube..but couldn't find the same model. help me guys plz.....

    try getting the dust out of the machine with compressed air or taking the bottom chassis of and doing the same, maybe a repaste on the cpu could help. Maybe change the screensaver as well? Lol

    How to remove bottom chassis? shall i have to take off key board and everything. and what is repaste?

    no for the bottom it should be as simple as taking of a few screws, and re-paste, i recommend you googling "thermal repaste" i've never attempted it so I can't give you informative advice.

    To get to the heat sink assembly, you need to dismantle whole laptop. Pictures of the assembly at pages 4-40 and 4-41.

    Even that heat sink assembly itself you have to take apart, since the dust gathers inside it. Blowing it with compressed air just pushed the dust into the fan, worst case blocking it from spinning.

    hey if its 11mnths...ur stil under warrenty rite???get a free service 4rm the HP guys.....i too had the same problem....it was dust accumulation...n my battery was dying...they changed tat also...
