Hey, I just got my dv6000t last week and I have been trying to figure out how to get the display from dimming when I unplug the cable. Anyone have this problem or know the solution. I have tried messing with the Nvidia display section but I either can't find it or it's not there. Any ideas.
    Thanks,
    Mike

Have you tried the Bios? The setting is typically on there.

Fn + F7/F8 should decrease/increase the brightness of the screen. The system should remember this setting the net time you plug/unplug the A/C power.

Note: For the Fn keys to work you should have Quicklaunch buttons software installed.

Yes, you press and hold the [fn] key while you press f8 until it's at it's brightest setting. You have to do this while the notebook is unplugged though for the unplugged setting.
