i was wondering is it just me, that when i watch dramas, or anime on my dv6500t , when i sorta basically max the volume, and when the characters yells or talking in a louder highpitched voice or when the music gets too loud, the speakers will make this staticy kind of noise... but when i plug in headphoens or speakers, i dont get this problem at all, i was wondering if its like that or just me

    thx

Sounds like the OP was just maxing out the capabilities of the built in speakers. It is likely that the speakers just can't handle the high volume and/or frequencies you were trying to pump through them. Usually, headphones will have much higher tolerance both in terms of volume and frequency (although listening to loud music/movies with headphones is never recommended).

If you need better portable sound, try getting a set of portable USB speakers which should be marginally better at least. If portability isn't an issue, then try looking at some speakers from the manufacturers like logitech, creative, klipsch, etc, depending on your budget and/or desired level of sound quality.
