    Hey everyone,

I read reviews here once in a while :). Anyways I am in the market for a laptop for school found a HP dv2700t and a dv2911us for around the same price. Whats the newest model? the specs are quite similar I am assuming the bigger number means newer model, but the 2700t I was looking at had a faster processor maybe it was customized that way...I looked on amazon and these two model are listed on Amazon on April 08. I see alot of dvXXXXt but not many dvXXXXus, whats the differences?

I tried to look for more info on the official site but find it hard to nav around.

Any of the DV2700's that end in anything other than T or Z is a preconfigured model. That just means faster delivery. Everything you see under specifications is what you get. The customized to order (T or Z) is better for a few reasons. You can select what you need and leave out what you don't need. It may take longer to arrive, but at least you spend money on exactly what you need.

if it is dvXX00 it is mostly a Customized To Order. only subfix to those are T(Intel) and Z(AMD) and SE(Special Edition).

if it is dvXXXX it is a prebuilt model. the subfix to those are country codes. us = United States.

Awesome! Thank you very much :D for clearing things up regarding the suffixes. Also, the numbers correspond to how new the models are? 2700 older than 2900. Thanks in advance!
