THis is a recent but very annoying problem. On my envy 14 the internet now randomly shuts off. And when I go to trouble shoot it says wifi is not enabled (even though it is). Seems the only way to fix it is to close my computer screen and reopen it.
Anyone encounter this problem? Ready to send it back to hp if it doesnt stop

you need to install the update from intel. here's the link . Mine doesn't disconnect randomly anymore

ttran88, you linked the wrong drivers.
The drivers you want are from July 2, Intel® PRO/Wireless and WiFi Link Drivers-Only for Windows 7* (for 64-bit)
even then, I remember still getting a couple random wifi failures. -
edit: nvm thanks changed it. -
Fat Dragon Just this guy, you know?
These ones (link shamelessly stolen from the drivers thread) are newer...
Strangely, HP's site doesn't seem to offer them - justinkw1 got the downloads from Dell's support website, but presumably they work just fine - I haven't had any reason to update, so I'm still on the earlier drivers.
Hp envy 14 internet keeps shutting off
