Simple fix for the auto leveling in hp envy series / beats

    Start regedit

HKLM (local machine)>Software>SRS Labs>APO>{5FB65F33-CB93-40F1-A07F-058A9B47D266} (first one) > VolumeIQ
set the 0x00000001 to zero (first one)

this is real time effect , so no need to restart , if you change the beats to movie mode then music will attain default , and volume leveling will come back ,to disable it from default use

HKLM (local machine)>Software>SRS Labs>APO check every key there and make VOLUMEIQ to 0 in every of them , thats all

there will be all settings just the volume leveling shut down , enjoy , correct me if am wrong

I will also try to find out which part of beats is making the NFS RIVALS sound not to work , as disabling beats in registry makes NFS RIVALS sound Ok

    I hope that helps:D

well the numbers need not match thats why i said "(first one)" , the first key open it , you'll see a lot of other keys including volumeiq , the one you selected in picture , open it , you'll see volumeiq ,also you see SRS Premium Sound right in the picture right , it holds default records so open that too you'll see default see my attachment

Try a song in playback , check by changing the value to 1 and back to 0 , also there is default volume leveling but thats very light and will easily go if you increase the main volume and decrease the player volume. The Volumeiq is the SRS TRUE VOLUME feature which automatically increases the volume and back , if there is drastic bass then this will decrease the volume , and if u increase the volume the sound will shoot up beyond good hearing where there is no bass this is because SRS true volume+usual volume leveling = DRASTIC , try changing to 1 see if there is any change , these settings are real time and doesnt need service restart (or pc restart)

change every volumeiq in the APO (inside every keys) to 0 , and write this in command prompt admin : sc stop Audiosrv
    sc start Audiosrv

    and check

My problem is i will be playing a video and the sound will go quite for a few seconds and then the sound level will rise back to normal levels, I use media player home cinema, maybe it`s that is causing my problem not beats.

Also what is the quickest way to change between music and 3d movie, i dont have a beats icon on the taskbar, i have to go into the control panel, i can make a shortcut but is there a quicker way to switch.

    John.
