Hi
I m looking for a laptop that have long battery life. I've been suggested IBM Lenovo T60 with 9 cell battery that would give 5 hours on normal continuous usage.
I wonder if there is any HP model that would compete or come close to T60.
I'll be using the extended battery anyways.

look at some of the thin and lights on the business models...i think some of them pass 10 hours with extended batteries + travel batteries.

I need one with 14" display

12 cell battery will give you 5 hrs 30 mins. You should look at the power density not the number of cells. Unfortunately, HP provides lowest power density. 6 cells only have 4000mAh, 12 cells have 8800mAh.

The 12 cell battery will work with every HP model. Point out a couple .

The longest battery life on an HP consumer laptop, that I have heard of, is 6:30h with the 12cell on one of the 14inch laptops - dv1000, v2000, v3000, dv2000...Of course, this time is with an optimized system, wireless off, lowest screen brightness, etc. Someone here reported it.
If you need something with 7+ battery life you need a second battery (modular bay). NC6000 series had such, if I remember correctly. Check it with HP.
