    idk if this is the right place to be posting this but does any one else have extreme heating issues with there laptop?

    my graphics card alone is value is at 95 Celsius, is that normal?????

    AMD cpu's are known to run hotter than Intel. If you have had the notebook for more than 6 months then the fans and heatsink might be clogged of dust.

    -Clean the fans if so
    -Try raising the back by an inch
    -Invest in a notebook cooler
    -Try Undervolting or underclocking

    will do all of those, but do you have any ideas on how to "Undervolting or underclocking"?

    I used to have that laptop. I don't know if it's normal, but I also reached those temps. I just sold it on ebay and got a Dell Studio 15 instead. :( I never tried undervolting though, maybe it'll help.

    I haven't loaded any games on my HDX16, but the fan is set to run 24/7 in the bios and yet it gets pretty warm. The cooling design definitely could have been better. The palm rests are noticeably very warm.

    my gpu temps hit 90 deg Celsius when i am just surfing the web. no wonder my gpu is currently dying. i suggest u send it to HP before yours die too.
