    hello, i'm new here :)

I want to buy a brand new laptop for christmas holidays,
I put my eyes on Dv5 model from HP.... and i have to choice between two models: 1101en and 1131en

the difference between 1101en and 1131 is:

    1101en: AMD Athlon x2 processor
Ati Radeon Hd 3450 (Up to 1276 MB Total Available Graphics Memory with 512 MB dedicated)

    1131en: Intel Dual Core
Nvidia GeForce 9200 (Up to 1023 MB Total Available Graphics Memory with 256 MB dedicated)

1131en is more expensive than 1101en with ~70$

    which is better?
    thanks.

I'd take the Intel machine. Less heat and better battery life.

Rather than posting in this thread you should probably start your own thread. If you want to search the HP forum, there's already many threads on this very topic. From my own understanding, XP is difficult to put on the new dv5 series notebooks.
