    Hi

    Can someone help me?

Before I post a new thread about the problem that occured on the mentioned laptop of my brother, I have some question.

I went searching the model (FM650EA) in google and found what is in the laptop.

the memory is total 3 GB and I did find two modules: one hase 2GB and the other has 1GB.

But what made me think is that the modules are not from the same producer: the one GB is from elpida(2Rx16 PC2-6400S-666) and the 2 gb is from nanum( 2Rx6 PC2 5300S 555 ).

I have this feeling the laptop was opened before and the memory has been changed? Or does HP works always like this??

Strange also is that the P/N differs from the model number and that what is mentioned at the right top of the screen.

    right top screen: dv9000
    product: HP pavilion dv9700
    model: dv9920ed

Should I think that the screen has been changed (with a wrong screen)?

and on the same ticket the product and model are mentioned , but 9700 and 9920ed?? strange.

Does Hp use several series for one laptop? hmm

    RAM was changed.

All the rest is standard number convention for HP.

I hear know that my brothers friend added one extra module.

How come the specification tell that 3gb is in the laptop? Is it possible that certain laptops of same model have another specification?
