You can order them from HP for about $19.00 or better yet get a Vista Anywhere CD from M$ an do a clean install. Who wants to waste bandwidth by putting it on an ftp server....I realize you are impatient but downloading it is foolish.

My question would be "Why do you need them?" If it's "just in case", you need to know that using those discs will wipe out all of the data on your computer. You should make sure you have everything backed up. Otherwise, doing a clean install using the Anytime Upgrade (or any other type of Vista disc) is a better way to go about getting Windows back if you really need to.

Otherwise, getting them from HP is the way to go.

Again the question is: "what do you need them for?" what specific purpose?

A recovery disc will return your computer to the same state as when you purchased it, including all of the extra software that can cause performance problems. You will have much better luck and much better performance if you can get any regular Vista install disc and install clean from that.

hi, i need those disc because my webcam doesnt work after i installed vista.. was working a bit with xp but when i put vista i was so stupid that i put xp webcam drivers on it, i installed also a lot of drivers that i found on net but webcam is now absolutely crashed, it only shows a pink screen so i think those discs can reset it to original state and i can put original vista driver for webcam

Talk about lost.... Dude go to HP's site and download the webcam driver directly from them, then go into your device manager and delete the webcam and reinstall it using the drivers you just downloaded. Easy peasy!

I don't want to seem to be mean/rude but you've already been told where to get the CD's. Have a friend or family order them for you and send them to you if you are not in the USA. If that's not an option try craigslist and see if anybody local will let you borrow/copy the Vista cd and do a clean install. Your argument above is a dismal excuse for somebody to waste bandwidth or postage to help you out....Again I hate to seem rude but you are your own worst enemy when it comes to computers aren't you? Maybe the abacus would suit you better

In the end I do wish you the best of luck...

HP's driver website just plain sucks. That's why I host the HP Total Care Advisor on my website. I wish I could host the CD for download but my server will crash and I don't know if HP would allow me to do that since they charge you for it.
