The difference really comes down to AMD vs Intel for cpu and Intel vs Nvidia for the graphics..

Which one should I go for??

Well, the AMD + nVidia one will be much better for games. The Intel + Intel one will have slightly better battery life. Both processors will perform essentially the same.

personally i choose the HP Pavilion dv2415us (number 2 - intel).

the first one will be better for games.

the second one is more powerful for everday use except gaming. better battery life, runs cooler, higher technology.

if you do games you won't buy those two anyway. both of them is not exactly a gaming machine.

and isn't the intel got better intergrated sound than AMD? intel HD?

The two processors are roughly the same speed. The Intel will run slightly cooler, and have maybe 10% more battery life.

And AMD's integrated sound and Intel's integrated sound solutions are pretty much the same, if you want amazing sound you'll have to get an external sound card and speakers anyway.

    Thanks for the advice

I thoght about buying the Intel+intel , but it is $899.99 before the $250 rebate and it is way over my budget.

BUT, I built a dv2000t at Hp.com using a coupon and the price was $747.00(including tax)

    Heres the spec.
    HP Pavilion dv2000t

    Intel Core Duo processor T2450 (2.0 GHz, 2MB L2 Cache, 533MHz FSB)
    1GB DDR2 System Memory (2 Dimm)
    Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950
HP Imprint Finish + Webcam + Microphone
    160GB 5400RPM
    Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection
LightScribe SuperMulti 8X DVD+/-RW with Double Layer Support
High Capacity 6 Cell Lithium Ion Battery

Its very similir to the #2 hp notebook I listed before, but I took out bluetooth and TV reomte and added in a High Capacity 6 Cell Lithium Ion Battery
How good is a a High Capacity 6 Cell Lithium Ion Battery??

SO now, its either this one(dv2000) or the AMD+Nvidia(dv2415nr)

I think the high capacity battery gives something like an additional 16% battery life. I would still say the AMD + nVidia one is a better overall choice, though it does depend on what you're planning on using this laptop for. Perhaps fill out a FAQ in the What Notebook Should I Buy forum?
