    Hi, my school has got the 8510w to offer but I find it rather weak so I was thinking of the 8530w. However... my school offers next business day warranty, is this standard for every workstation?
    I mean... if I buy this 8530w in a common store, will I get next business day warranty with it or not?

    I bought the 6510b and got the warranty. I called hp once and they picked it up the next day, swapped the mobo and delivered it 4 days later. I live i Sweden so i can't say how it works in other countries.

    All HP Professional (P series) and Workstation (W series) business notebooks, now commonly referred to as the EliteBook range, comes with standard 3 year next business day warranty. Onsite services are available depending on the country you're currently at.

    What does the 'Next business day' and 'Onsite' warranty mean? How do they work?

    How should I understand the parts/labor/onsite warranty types?

    Next Business Day - you will receive a response from HP within 1 business day. It doesn't mean they will fix your problem in 1 business day, but they will acknowledge your claim and provide a resolution such as arranging a tech to replace a part, etc. If parts are available, then repairs can indeed be done within 1 business day.

    Onsite - an HP certified tech will go to your office/home to fix the laptop.
