Is this a good laptop. I am buying it from a guy in Europe. Is it going to be any different from one that I would buy here in the US? Is it the US model?

Well it has the "US" at the end of the model number, so its a US model. However, I would be wary if you're buying this laptop from an online trading source, such as eBay - too many scamers, crooks, and identity theives.

It depends on wether or not it is a good notebook - what do you need it for, do you need to take it with you, etc. You might consider completing the FAQ in the hardware forum - we can give you better suggestions there.

Yeah, I would be very careful with those trades, etc. as AMDvsIntel posted. ;)
