So, earlier i had m11x with a hybrid card (intel + nvidia) and there was a manual switch and ty drivers from manufacturer (dell). But still there was a "save" option, you could disable hybrid card and have only nvidia one, in this case you could install official driver from nvidia.com and have no problems.

With my current laptop i don't have such choice and have to download drivers from hp which is really old. And when hp decide to forget bout this laptop i won't have new drivers. And that's really sucks.

Any ideas? From what i know, there are no easy way to update ati driver by yourself. Its hard and buggy.

Read about 13 pages and the only thing which they are discussing is how to manually switch gfx on new dv's

Any easy way to update it to 11.6?

Haha hey man dont worry I still have manual switching too. If you want the 11.6 cats, you should be just able to install them straight over the top of your current drivers....so dont uninstall your current cats just dl and install over the top of them. The Cat installer will update whats necessary.
If you have any problems with that method, follow these guys on Guru3D AMD Catalyst 11.6 WHQL (8.861 May 24) - Download & Discussion - Guru3D.com Forums Asder00 usualy releases beta & RC drivers pretty regularly and if there are no mobility versions he mods them so we can use them. :D
