    Hp-Compaq NX6125: DVD writer problem issues

    Hye! I got a little bit problem with Hp-Compaq NX6125 .. i lost my installer cd that provide with this laptop .. so i format with another WinXP Pro SP2 & i download laptop driver from HP official web site. Ok my problem is my DVD writer wont burn either on blank CD or DVD. I try to burn directly send folder(WinXP direct burn) to my DVD writer drive but failed. However my device can read all of kind file on CD/CD-rw/etc and data on DVD but failed when read a data/movie from dvd dual layer. Is that anyone know what's problem? Is that a answer i have to burn using software Sonic RecordNow! (Can be with Nero?) that provide with installer cd for this laptop?

    You can't burn to DVDs using Windows Explorer. Have you tried any other software? Perhaps deleting the IDE drivers will help.
