Hi, I had bought a Hp G70-457CA 17inch that wasn't openbox last year on 10/04/09 at staples. Now, 05/02/2010 i have spotted some problems near the keyboard and on the back hinges and finally, the screen wouldn't shut properly! I have used this laptop very carefully it has never been dropped before. Also, i check the box all over for a open box sticker but there was no sticker. On the 2nd day i had the laptop i notice the bump near the keyboard and i asked my dad, but, he said it was like that.

I didn't get the extended warranty i only the the 1year hp one

I'm wonder if i got scammed by the staples people... I'm only 13 so yeah and this is my first laptop.

That's the bump near keyboard ( it looks like someone tried to pry it open

That's the lid not closing properly( the left bottom corner wouldn't close fully, the right one is touching)

That's the back where it holds to screen (it looks like someone has been prying it and i think it's not put on properly because there's a crack)

what should i do? i don't want to send it to hp, there's going to be even more damage from the shipping! Is there anything staples can do?

Sorry to say that but i don't see anything in the 1st and 3rd pic. As for the second, i've seen worse...

You should go to staples and ask them. Though i don't think you'll be able to convince them that it isn't your fault.
