Well, although I know that HP isn't perfect and has problems like ALL THE OTHER OEMS it would be nice to have a place where you can show your love and appreciation as it only seems to be the people that have an issue that SCREAM about it... .

I'm sitting next to an 8760w dreamcolour, 4000m quadro, dual SSD, 32Gb monster and it rocks! I also still have fond memories of the Envy 13 which featured the most gorgeous Radiance screen! I took that one apart just to get an SSD and an extra 4Gb ram.

The girlfriend uses an 8460p with the 1600x900 screen and various staff members have 2560p and 6460b units. All in all it's all good.

    P.s. HP... please release a 2170p with support for the CC09 and BB09 batteries along with a screen that's... a tablet :)

6990p = Nice machine especially with the extended battery, "24 hours with the HP Ultra-Capacity Battery".

Never had a problem with any of the HP laptops I have purchased, and most of those are from their consumer lines. They have some of the best support and customer service I have seen in a notebook manufacturer and by the the best notebooks for the price.

Can't complain with that! Sure, parts can arrive a few days later, parts can even arrive folded in half (2740p keyboard), but they will and do eventually get there just like ALL the others.

I just purchased a DV7T-QE, received it June 28th, so have had two weeks to play with it now. This is my first HP purchase as a consumer. I've dealt with HP contracts and support in a corporate environment quite a bit, and have always had a very good experience.

So far, I'm liking the laptop a lot. There are a few things I think HP could have improved with it. But you could say that about any of the major builders systems.

Its a solid product and the fastest computer I've ever owned. With the 33% off coupon, and the build I chose, I think it was a steal.

My Envy 17 3D runs more smoothly than any laptop I've ever owned.

:) It's not often that people spread the love but the negativity, man, it gets old fast.

Spread that love! Dear HP.... I really like the Folio 13 and it's a nice step up from the Envy 13. (Just miss the radiance display)

I don't love nor hate HP. I have a dv5000 that still works quite well after 6 years of ownership. It was sent in under warranty to fix the fan just before the 3 year period was up. I called on a weekend, had the shipping label within a couple days, and two days after that it was fixed and back at my door (yes, a consumer model, not a business one). I still had to deal with foreign tech support which is never fun, but I ended up with the result I wanted.

That said, not many current HP models appeal to me because of their keyboard layouts or horrible screens. They can't seem to make a perfect model; they always have some fault I just cannot get over.

Can't comment on other HP notebooks, but the 17" Elitebooks have always been rock solid so.... in the spirit of this thread, <3 HP Elitebooks.

Gotta love my DV7t SE, 2 years old, runs PS CS6 3D and plays blu-ray no problem.
Another envy 6 is on the way!
