    Try some of the other V5000T series notebook download pages. HP doesn't always include all the drivers they should on every page. I'm assuming what you have is one of the Intel versions at least, if it's an AMD-based machine check the V5000z series pages.

    Thanks for the quick reply. I have done what you have said and the " question Mark" has disappeared from the system's device manager BUT how can I make sure that the drivers that I have installed are best for my new laptop.

    If they're the newest ones available from HP for the V5000T series, they're (probably) the best.
