I am looking into getting a dv9715nr. Anyone know if it is any good?

I am looking for a lap top to replace my desktop. This model is price at $899.99 at Best Buy. Is it worth that much? Also is it worth it to go with AMD or should I pay more and get an Intel? Thanks in advance!

You should compare it against a notebook you configure on hp.com, using the current coupon code (if available) from the coupons sticky thread in this forum. The nice thing about configure-to-order models is that there are a lot of really nice options available (proper video cards, Bluetooth, etc). Best Buy's sale prices are pretty tough to beat though.

I always buy AMD. The TL50 (admittedly low-end) in my dv9208nr runs cool and quiet and it's the older 90nm design. The TL60 in the dv9715nr is considerably faster. It looks like a nice configuration to me.
