    the vid card and cpu of the 8510- , someone here put up a great step by step set of instructions and I can't find it . would be a great help for when I replace my cpu this weekend .

    yes I have those , thanks , but this was detailed on cpu and vid card , something the hp vids don't cover .

    Its not that hard...

    1) Clean the surfaces with Articlean or Isoprophyl alcohol

    2) Apply a rice grain of thermal paste on the CPU die.

    3) Spread a thin layer over the whole area using flat blade or something straight. Make sure you only put a thin layer!

    4) Reseat heatsink properly
