I got bought a alienware alpha for myself earlier this month and i got bored of it so i posted a ad on craigslist asking a trade for a good spec laptop and some body messaged me, he had a hp elitebook 8770 with 32gbs ram a quadro k3000 2gb gddr5 and 300gb hdd and i agreed to the trade and we talked for about 3 days and i met him earlier today and made the trade. He told me that he was a engineer and he had 2 extra 8770 and i was getting one but when i got it he told me it was from reclamation from his work or a refresh i think it's sorta fishy and its such a expensive laptop for a 500 dollar pc console.

    What do you think?

Probably stolen. Even during refresh, the old computers are often resold. Not given away.
You can check with calling police departments around area and see if they have a laptop like that listed as stolen.
