I received my Compaq V4000T last week and I'm enjoying it quite a bit. It came with a $50 dollar rebate plus a free PSC 1410 multifunction inkjet after an $80 rebate.
I downloaded and printed out the .pdf form of the rebates and filled them out. I noticed that the requirements for both are "The cutout or copy of the original UPC..."
I've never seen a rebate that only required a copy of the UPC and was just wondering if people had sent in a copy and still recieved their rebates. I'm a little confused about what I should do because the printer rebate requires the UPC from both the laptop and the printer.

I did both of these rebates for my v4000t. We made a copy of the UPC and I will be getting the rebates shortly. It has taken a looooooong time so I forgot I even had a rebate coming, but two days ago I got an email from HP saying that they were processing my rebate. I copy will be fine. Keep the original. Remember these people are dealing with hundreds of rebates all the time. They won't be too picky. Hope this helps.

For the order status at hpshopping.com to find a link to the rebates. Fill up the online form and pre-submit it online will accelerate the rebate process. Don't forget to mail in the online generated form, UPC, and invoice though. I got mine within 6 weeks.
I have a question about HP rebates
