    Hello, my name is Dave and I'm new here. I just purchased the dv9408nr, and I actually I have to exchange it because upon looking at it out of the box there is a dent in the right side on the speaker grill and horrible buzzing radiates from that spot...kind of like when you speak with tin foil on your mouth...but that is beside the point right now.

    I was actually just curious if this was a good choice for me. I will be using it for school (some internet classes as well) as well as for personal recreation. Being that I'm completely new I just wanted to know if I made the right decision getting this notebook. Even though it isn't considered portable compared to smaller, lighter notebooks, it's still portable enough for me.

    I guess I just want to know that if there was anything more "powerful" or just flat out better in the same price range. I bought it for $750, and I can't wait to start actually working on it (or the one I exchange it with, rather).
