I love the new HP envy. It is really nice, but it's blatant copy of Macbook (note: i am not a fan of mac). I know most of you will say it doesn't matter, who cares, etc. If it copies 50% or so is still ok, but HP copies 95%+ of Macbook.
For me, I expect that large company like HP is supposed to have its own unique design that can establish its image, not copying Macbook. It's just not cool having this Envy, proud about it and sitting next to Macbook the original.

I don't know. I've used windows PCs for years (since mid 80's) and just switched to Mac last fall. The main reason was the design of the unibody Macbook Pro (1" thick, light, etc., compared to the almost 2" thick 8 pound Dell laptop I was using at the the time).
If some windows based PC laptop makers can come up with designs that are thin, light, and retain the power/price of their current thick and heavy weighted monsters, they could probably win me back. -
I don't mind, I like the macbook design, if they copy it AND its not a mac, its all the better. This laptop is as thin as a mac, looks sleek and beautiful, and is lightyears ahead of mac in regards to tech.
I'm digging ripping off apple.... =) -
So? What's the problem?

Who cares if its a copy of a MacBook? The unibody Macs are just copies of HP two-tone designs with copies of Sony keyboards.

Everyone wants to be the next big thing, the newest hotness. I'm ok with a laptop that performs, reliable, durable, in a decent package.
I'm not buying a purse. I'm buying a laptop.
I love HP Envy, but it's a copy of Macbook
