My girlfriend just got her lappy dv1000t today with windows XP home, and i decided to format her computer since there are so many junks from HP. So, I use window XP professional CD that I bought from my school. However, after i booted from the CD and chose to install new window option, it says that it cannot find the hard drive. I've tried it couple times but same problem still occured.

I really don't know what to do now. I called HP and they said they could not help me. Please please help me. I really do want to get rid of the HP junks!! Can anybody guide me the steps to format it please. Thank you in advance.

You are going to loose the QuickPlay 2.0 function that there is no way to re-install it yet.
