I recently bought an hp pavilion dv6646us. I downgraded to xp before I saved all the drivers. (I know it was stupid). Long story short, my ethernet and various other drivers are gone. I've been to the hp site but nothing seems to work. The winflash says I don't have the right system. When I double checked my bios it said that my notebook is a dv6500. I don't know what to do. I'm thinking of reinstalling vista, just to get the drivers to recognize. Any suggestions?
Here are the specs:
Processor brand: AMD
Processor type: Turion 64 X2
Processor speed: 1.90GHz
Video card: NVIDIA GeForce Go 7150M
Motherboard: Unknown

You can read the stickies at the top of the HP forum.

You will need the Nvidia chipset drivers. Neither HP or Nvidia have posted drivers for the nforce 630/7150M yet. Try installing the Vista drivers and hope they install on XP....

It might be necessary to extract the installation files and install the driver through the device manager.
I need help with my ethernet driver
