After about two and a half years my original nc8430 battery isn't holding any charge (I assume its a battery problem as its got progressively worse lately) so I'll have to look about a replacement as the laptop itself is fine and I'm not interested in buying a new one at this point.

Having read the battery guide I'm aware that there are brand name and 'generic' batteries. Obviously there seems to be quite a price difference - is it that you get what you pay for and should I look for a HP replacement? Also, I'm just wondering what reputable websites there are for replacement laptop parts as I found quite a few on google but I've never heard of most of them before.
