    I wonder if anyone has actually shelled out the $700 or so for the Vivienne Tam editon of the Mini 1000? Just curious...

    Agreed. I'd rather pay half and get the more attractive Mini 1000. they sell them at Sams club so I think they might've sold 300 nation wide :p . ha.

    It's really tacky, IMO. If they wanted to sell to "label snobs" they should have went with a designer that was well known. A 'Vera Wang' edition maybe? Or maybe a Louis Vuitton leather-covered one?

    I'm amused by people actually buying things like this. Slap a name/label on anything and it's suddenly worth double the price???

    I believe Molly Wood from CNET (of Buzz Report and CNET Mailbag fame) has famously bragged of her love for hers. She refers to it on a first name basis ("Vivian" or "Viv" i don't remember which)
