Just doodling around my laptop and I happened to browse to add/remove programs on Vista.

I scroll down the list and what do I find? The Sims Life Stories occupying 2.65GB!!

I'm so irritated; I don't care much for The Sims but c'mon how can a notebook vendor foist it upon buyers without any permission whatsoever! I tried to uninstall it but I get a message saying 'an unknown program wants access to your computer'... This is just mischevious.

I had to allow it just to be rid of the darn thing!

    I am sooooooooo irritated!

    Un-happilappie.

Download a third party uninstaller. That should let you uninstall it.

Because this is how they make money. EA/Maxis make money from HP putting their software on HP laptops as an advertisement, so they pay HP to do it.

And that drives the price of the laptops down, by a tad bit.

wow, are you serious? just delete the folder under program files and be done with it. u have to give permission for anything to uninstall no matter what it is...that's how vista works and if u dont like it then turn program control off
