This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    $59 to further troubleshoot their graphics problem. UN-BEE-LEAVE-ABLE!!!!! HP has truly gone over the edge with this fiasco of a graphics issue. First of all, that it's a pervasive problem, secondly that they have NO SOLUTION, and thirdly that they would have the cojones to try to charge someone for troubleshooting.

    Not to mention that neither of the two DV6's I purchased recently had the ability to switch to Portrait mode. (and HP has no solution for that, either)

    I don't know why they would charge for an issue under warranty. Regardless, they probably would only charge you if the issue was resolved.

    I don't know why, either. Simply reporting what another member said in the HP forum. I don't think anyone would make up such a story. Based on how HP has been jacking us around on this graphics issue, I'd not put anything past them.
