hp pavillion 9700 blue ray (hdmi = v1.2)

i cant seem to get 1080p over hdmi to dvid cable.
1280by800 is the most i can get. (not looking to watch movies)
    just cad/office.

cant use vga out - minport plug disables the vga.

has anyone had success with using the HDMI to LCD at 1080???
or is it a hardware limitation.

samsung monitor has only dvid input. works excellent on my desktop(full2560by1900)

hp support = dont waste your time (idiots)

    cheers

My DV9500 displays 1080P via HDMI.

Perhaps it is the TV, take your notebook to BestBuy and try it on one of theirs, I use a Sony Bravia and it works like a charm.
