Hi Everyone,
Just wanted to let you know there's been a $50 price drop on this card if you ordered from HPShopping. There's also been a small price drop ($5) on the 240GB dual 7200 RPM drives but if you'll be calling anyway for the graphics card, you might as well get the additional $5 on the drives right!?
I received my notebook Feb. 18 and just got a $55 credit. It took 26 minutes and 59 seconds on the phone (geesh!) but hey, it's done and will be back on my credit card within 3-5 days.
Just have your order #, order date and delivery date handy along with the component(s) you've got a price difference on (and what you paid for them as well as what they're selling for now).
Anyway, here's HP's price protection policy:
The HP Home & Home Office Store reserves the right to change prices at any time. Should we lower the price of the product you purchased, you may call 1 (888) 999-4747 within 21 days of delivery date to request a credit for the difference between the price you paid and the current the HP Home & Home Office Store selling price. This excludes mail-in rebates, which are not part of this price protection.

The price match doesn't go piece by piece. They will take the lowest price you can get the laptop as a whole today and compare it to the price you bought it for.
If You Ordered the 512MB 8600M GS With the $500 Coupon
