    I just recieved my DV9700t and I want to improve it's rating, I have 4gb ram, t9300-2.5ghz and 512mb nvidia geforce 8600m gs(also wondering if anyone knows how to oc it, let me know, cuz i want to play crysis lol). anyone have any tips? thanks

    dont worry about windows experience score.
    its garbage.
    download 3dmark06 and run it then theres ways of imporing that

    and yeah you can overclock you 8600m gs

    I followed the guide from that site, and I installed the new software for the drivers, how do I OC it now? or was that it?

    i was in the nvidia control panel but how do I adjust the settings exactly? also i right clicked and didn't see nvidia control panel and i am using ntune

    and using 169.04

    okay i tweaked it in rivatuner, but idk if it's an okay setting or not...the core clock is at 561mhz and the shader clock is at 1122 mhz and the memory clock is at 449mhz, are those settings okay?

    thats why you run atitool and see if there is any yellow marks

    but i recommend a setting for you do you have a notebook cooler

    finding out which one is the recommended one for my laptop and then I'm gonna buy, so what settings do you recommend?

    well you need to know what your tempertures are idle and gaming with and without overclock

    i would get the the Zalman ZM-NC2000 notebook cooler

    the max this gpu can handle without crapping out is
    700 core
    1500 shad
    500 mem

    my settings are
    680core
    1425 shad
    475 mem

    i recommend to you
    650 core
    1350 shad
    460 mem

    until you get a cooler also what games will you be playing i can help you optimize your gpu for quality will holding good fps
