During customize notebook option for Envy dv6t Quad on HP's site, there comes an option for "NO mSSD Hard Drive Acceleration Cache". Its not really an option since you cant select anything. If I understand it correctly it means the cache mSSD is NOT included, but then why even create an option for it? Am I correct in my understanding it, or does it mean something else?

If it does mean mSSD HD cache is not included, can I later add a third party SSD to this notebook for cache purposes??

Most likely it is there as a placeholder. If they want to offer that option in the future (they changed the options available all the time) it does not mean they have to make a change to the web page's code. They can change the options available and then that option will show the available mSSD sizes.

Yes, your computer should come equipped with an empty mSSD slot that you can use later.
