Hi guys,
There's a really great deal at circuit city for the hp dv2910us, but I can't seem to find a lot of information on it online. Does anyone own it/have info on it that can help me decide whether there are any major problems/would be a worthwhile purchase? Thank you!

Few Things I must Mention here for Serious Buyers.
This is Entertainment Laptop (Movies , Internet , Networking) , Not Gaming one.
As Far as I am using it, Its Battery Time is approx 3 Hours with Surfing Internet and Listening to Music.
Only Area under the HDD use to Heat up which is normal for every laptop, though Fan use to be quiet all the time.
For Good Battery Backup , One needs to Turn off the Wireless and Use Hp Recommended Settings (Power Option) .
To Achieve Best Faster Speed and Use of Full System Resources more than the Normal one ( Normal is Fast ), One has to Choose Best Performance Power setting with AC Power only. For Battery point of View Only Hp Recommended power Setting should be used.
Dont wait and Just Buy it. -

Thanks jawadahmad. I am looking to buy this as well. Can you please tell me whether it starts heating up soon or after a long time
Thanks -
Laptops are not to be using on Laps. Always use them on Flat surface. There is Ventilation system under the hard disk processor and fan. So I hope u understand
Its a real True performance system -
THe only thing is that the left palm rest gets hot due to the HDD being located right under it. This is just how HP Designed this particular computer it isn't a big deal but if you want completely cool all the time, go with something like lenovo t61

It could be a big deal but you just don't know it yet. I bought a dv2815nr, which has a similar design and just like the others here the HDD ran really hot. But I didn't know how bad it was until I downloaded HD Tune and got my temp reading. I realized that my drive was reaching its critical limit while running any program that constantly reads from the drive like disk defrag or virus scan.
I've already called HP about and they are sending me a replacement drive. However, many on this board have stated that it is a design issue (too close to GPU, not good enough air flow, etc...). I won't know for sure if that's the case until I replacment my drive. Just though you should be aware before buying. -
any fixes on the FAN Issues?
