Hi,
I have decided to buy the HP tx1410us 12.1 Tablet PC with Firewire support.
Can I install XP and replace pre-installed Vista?
Will the tablet function still work under XP? I have checked the HP Driver pages but there are no tablet drivers listed under input devices on either the XP or Vista driver download pages. Is it possible that the tablet functionality is based on drivers built into the OS itself, ie do XP or Vista have inbuilt tablet drivers that might work?
Thx

You made two posts. Well here's what I put in the other post:
There are no touchscreen drivers at all. Windows Vista is built-in with that function, as well as XP (at least some version of it). I believe Media Center 2005 disc has the Tablet function if the correct serial # is used. Otherwise, it will install MCE2005. I think you need Windows XP Tablet PC Edition, which is included in the MCE2005 disc, but a special serial # must be used. -
Like I said I am new to this forum -
I moved your other thread to the HP forum so this thread is closed.
Continue discussion in your other thread.
Thx
