    Hi,

I have buy pavilion dv6720ec and I don`t like Vista so I decide to install XP, but I have problems with drivers, mostly ethernet, wifi, graphic card and also some other unknown devices. I have looked over network and found some ways on spanish and polish forums to install it but not all of these drivers are working, so please could you help me and provide some drivers that works and also a small guide to get them running. Thanx :)

Go to HP Product Specs page, find the type of wireless driver (i guess its Intel® PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection). Go to the intel site. Download the driver for wireless. Use Windows update for the rest of the drivers. If that doesnt work, try to figure out (with Google) what devices are in there and go search then manually by the manufacture. I had to do the same thing.

Hope that helps you understand that XP isn't better than Vista. The only problem with Vista is that it is new and the world is getting used to it. Other than that it is very good. By the way what has been posted up there in the quotes is something that an HP technician posted. Someone more knowledgeable than you and me.

So about Vista. I have a lot of experience like user and also like programmer with Vista and XP and I could say that Vista is Microsoft`s biggest mistake even bigger than Microsoft BoB. Like user I can say when XP takes 80MB Ram and Vista 1 GB Ram after installation with no other software installed, it is big difference. Also stupid asking and dialogs of Vista piss me off. I need 3 times to say YES when i want to copy something to program files. Like programmer it is with Vista even worse. Mainly because you can never ever be realy administrator, even when you think you are it you are not it is only administrator like account to make you happy. And because of these programing is terrible, lot of things does not work like they should and there is so much cases you need to handle and exceptions. So 1 thing I can say about: It offer so few and takes so much. I hope that next windows will be better and optimized. Thats all from me about Vista and XP.
