Hi all, I'm trying to install xp pro on a Presario C303NR. It currently has xp home, when I boot from the xp pro cd and press enter to proceed with the installation it says that it doesn't recognize the harddrive. What could be the problem?

Please read the stickies. That should explain what you need to do.

Basically you will need SATA(Intel) drivers for XP to recognise the HDD. Check to see if the BIOS has an option to turn of Native support and then try the installation if not then yo will either have to use a floppy drive and install the drivers during the installation or slipstream the drivers using nlite into the XP disc.
